Super easy, no sew cute skirt and shirt for a doll

Hi! I haven't posted anything for awhile because we've been a little busy with moving several hours away to Iowa. Anyway, once we found the camera, sewing stuff, and computer, I decided to make a blog post. So, here are the directions for probably the easiest little doll no-sew skirt and shirt combo...
You will need:
a tape measure, fabric, some sort of fastening device, (I used stick-on Velcro) and, of course, scissors

Shirt pattern
First, measure from the waist up over the shoulder of the doll and back down to the waist. Next measure from about the elbow (or wrist, depending on how long you want the sleeves to be) over to that place on the opposite arm. Cut a patch of fabric using those measurements and cut a head hole in the middle. Make a little belt from a strip of fabric, and you are done with the shirt!
To do the skirt, measure the waist and measure how long you want your skirt, and then cut a rectangle with those measurements, with a small notch in the top. (as seen in the pic.) Wrap it around the waist with the notch in the back. Put the fastener wherever the fabric ends and your skirt should be done!
