Hello! Today I'm going to show you how to make a "Seasonal Scarecrow" to get into the fall season. This is pretty much your typical scarecrow, with a little extra twists. Here's how to make it:
First, take a garbage bag, fill it with leaves, and tie it off. This will be your body. (We set it on a chair (tied side up) while we assembled the scarecrow). Next, fill a Walmart bag with leaves. This will be the head. To make the arms, I took a long stick and poked it into the bag where I wanted one arm, and pushed it out the other side. Now that you have the arms, it's time to attach the head to the body. Grab a smaller stick, stick it into the holes between the ties, and put the head on. For the legs, take some jeans, (It doesn't matter what size) and tie them tightly off at the bottom with twine.(If they have holes in them, tie it off right above the holes.) Fill them up with leaves, tie them off at the top, and stuff them under the body. For the face, I used duct tape, but just about anything will work. Throw a button-up shirt on the body, button it up, and enjoy!
Tip: This is an outdoor project, and it is somewhat messy.
Awesome craft, Sarah! I just got your letter, so I'm checking your blog out! And I love it!
