Hi! Today I made a lavender sachet, and I thought I should show you how. Here's how to do it...
You Will Need:
A sewing machine (you can do it by hand, but a machine is faster.)A scrap of cloth (not too small)
Scissors
Stuffing
Dried lavender
Lavender oil
Now, to make the sachet, all you have to do is cut two shapes out of your scrap. Make them how big or small you want your sachet to be. You can sew a design onto one of the sides, like I did in mine. Flip them over so that the "wrong" side of both shapes is facing outward. Sew along all but one edge, then flip your sachet right side out. Put a some dried lavender into your pouch, then add some stuffing. Continue adding dried lavender until it smells as strong as you wish. Make a hole in the stuffing with your finger, and then drip a few drops of oil into your hole. If you do not make a hole, the oil will soak into your fabric and get all over even after you sew it up. Now, sew along the edges so that, one, it seals up your opening, and, two, so you can't see the hole. Also, it makes a cute little edge to your sachet. So, now that you know have a sachet, you may ask yourself, "What am I supposed to do with this?" I like to put them into a drawer or closet to make them smell good, but you can do whatever you want to do with it. You could give it to someone as a gift, or anything else. Well, I hope you enjoyed this post, and have a nice day!
